Terms of service

Last updated: 7 November 2026

1. Your purchase and these terms

These terms apply to purchases from amberalexstore.com, operated by Alekso gintaras, UAB, trading as Amber Alex Jewelry. Company number: 303150296; VAT number: LT100008084512. Our address is Bendrovių g. 7, LT-00147 Palanga, Lithuania. Contact sales@amberalex.lt or +370 645 32 099.

These terms explain retail purchases for personal use. If you buy for a business, any separately agreed wholesale terms also apply; consumer-only rights apply when you are acting as a consumer. Mandatory rights under the law remain unchanged.

2. Products and information

Read the product description, measurements, materials and available options before ordering. Amber is a natural material, so individual pieces can differ in colour, inclusions and shape. Screen settings can also affect how colours look. These natural differences do not excuse an item that is faulty or materially different from its description.

A standard size, colour or other option offered on a product page is not automatically a personalised order. We will identify any genuinely bespoke or personalised work before you agree to buy it.

Jewellery is not a medical treatment. Do not rely on our products or editorial content to diagnose, prevent or treat a health condition. Jewellery contains small parts and is not a toy or teething aid.

3. Prices and payment

The checkout shows the amount, currency, applicable taxes and delivery charges before you pay. Any currency conversion shown for browsing is an estimate unless checkout offers payment in that currency. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own conversion rate or fees.

Payment methods depend on the options available at checkout. For bank transfers, use only the instructions provided by us for your order. Never send full card details by email or chat.

For delivery outside the European Union, import duties, local taxes or clearance charges may be payable unless checkout expressly includes them. See our Shipping policy for details.

4. Ordering and availability

Check your email address, delivery address, quantities and options before submitting your order. You commit to pay when a purchase contract is formed. We confirm acceptance of your order by email. A notice merely acknowledging receipt or payment is not acceptance only if it expressly says so. Contact us promptly if something needs correcting. We cannot guarantee a change after an order has been dispatched or bespoke work has begun.

If an item is unavailable, payment cannot be completed, or an order raises a genuine fraud concern, we will contact you where possible. We will not substitute a product or charge a higher price without your agreement. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will refund the payment for the cancelled part.

The version of the terms provided when you order applies to that purchase. Later policy changes do not retrospectively reduce the rights attached to an existing order.

5. Delivery

Available destinations, delivery methods and charges are shown at checkout. Dispatch and transit estimates are explained in our Shipping policy.

For consumer orders, we remain responsible for goods until you, or a person you nominate, take physical possession, except where you independently appoint a carrier that we did not offer. Contact us about a missing or damaged parcel so we can resolve it with you; you do not have to pursue our carrier instead of us.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Our Returns and refunds policy explains the 30-day returns offer, the EU/EEA statutory withdrawal right, return costs and refunds. These are separate from your rights if goods are faulty or not as described.

A return authorisation is not a condition for making a valid statutory withdrawal notice. Tell us clearly that you wish to withdraw within the legal deadline, using the contact details or model notice in the policy. You can also submit the return or cancellation requests available for your order through your customer account.

If you want a different item, return the original in line with the applicable policy and place a new order. This does not limit legal remedies for faulty goods.

7. Faulty or incorrectly described goods

EU consumers have a legal guarantee of at least two years from delivery for goods that do not conform to the contract. Depending on the circumstances, the law provides for repair or replacement at no cost, or a price reduction or refund where the legal conditions are met. Other mandatory protections in your country may also apply.

Normal wear, accidental damage or misuse is different from a defect for which we are legally responsible. Contact sales@amberalex.lt with your order details and a description of the problem. Photos can help, but you do not lose statutory rights simply because you did not report a problem immediately after delivery.

8. Using the website and accounts

Use accurate information and keep your account and email access secure. Do not misuse the site, interfere with its security, upload malicious content, impersonate another person or use it to infringe anyone’s rights.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, payments or the service. A restriction does not cancel your existing refund, guarantee or other legal rights.

Shopify hosts the store. Linked third-party websites and optional services have their own terms and privacy information. We remain responsible for our own legal obligations and our sales to you.

9. Privacy and reviews

Our Privacy and cookies policy explains personal data, cookies and your choices. Buying from us does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

If you submit a review, you keep your rights in your content and allow it to be displayed and moderated for the purpose of operating our review service. Do not include someone else’s personal information or material you have no right to share. This is not permission for unrestricted unrelated use of private messages.

10. Responsibility

We are responsible where the law makes us responsible. These terms do not exclude liability for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing, death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

We do not exclude statutory product guarantees or your rights as a consumer. For a consumer purchase, we do not make you responsible for losses caused by our own breach or require you to give up protections through a broad indemnity.

11. Complaints and disputes

Contact sales@amberalex.lt or write to Bendrovių g. 7, LT-00147 Palanga, Lithuania, giving your order details, the problem and the solution you are requesting. We consider consumer complaints free of charge and provide a reasoned written response within 14 calendar days.

If we cannot resolve a consumer dispute, you may apply to Lithuania’s State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, VVTAT), A. Goštauto g. 12, LT-01108 Vilnius, Lithuania. See vvtat.lrv.lt or submit a request through VTIS. You may also seek help from your local European Consumer Centre for a cross-border EU/EEA dispute. Your right to go to court remains.

Lithuanian law applies, but this choice does not remove mandatory consumer protections in your country of habitual residence where they apply. It does not force you to bring a claim only in Lithuanian courts if the applicable rules give you another choice.
